Kila came into being ten years ago in a Gaelic college, where seven musicians got together and created a rather unconventional group.
Indeed, the very varied musical backgrounds of its members - Irish music, funk-rock, classical music - resulted in an inimitably stunning mixture.

Acoustic music with a blend of sounds and genres, and a mixture of traditional and mode.
Kila does not adapt pieces from the Irish tradition, but writes the whole of its repertoire, and most of the songs are in Gaelic. This music is strongly Irish, with echoes of all sorts of influences.

" Irish traditional music is their basis, but Kila is too effervescent, too creative for conventional interpretations. "
