On stage, a storyteller and musician, Maxou, and two hurdy-gurdies. He tells us, about himself, and he tells us about them. He tells us stories about hurdy-gurdy players and their instruments. Then he plays. What? The hurdy-gurdy, of course. " Why? That's another story " confides Alain Pennetier, who directs " The Flight of the Bumble-Bee ".

With humour, reverence and nostalgia, Maxou takes his audience down memory lane. This is a love story, the story of a musician's love for his instrument. Simply, with words, music, and moments of madness, he recounts the life of his father, Malochet ? a hurdy-gurdy player, bon vivant, innkeeper and reveller, and a teacher of his instrument (Louise), from which he was inseparable.
