In Brittany today, more and more groups are taking inspiration from traditional sounds and music, which they blithely mix, with the power and energy of rock music. The group Wig a Wag also uses classical and oriental influences. Over the past four years these six young musicians have built up a sound reputation for themselves, not only for their wild dance music, but also for their melodious qualities, presenting the great Breton songs of the past.

Their music has character. It is still Breton-oriented, but with a new sound which has great appeal for the younger generation which did not experience the folk revival of the 1970s. At the turn of the millennium, Wig a Wag creates its own revival.
