Catalan music, which is very much alive, is represented by numerous ensembles. Sa Cobla, a trio formed in 1995, enjoys playing in concert but is also highly popular at dances. Flutes, oboes, bagpipe, accordion, violin, guitar and vocals are the group's main instruments.

Their strength lies in the creation of new pieces and in the quality of their melodies. In the short time they have been in existence, they have built up a sound reputation for the liveliness of their music. As any lover of Catalan music will tell you, Sa Cobla is one of the best and most creative groups around.
