" Mélusine " this well-known French folk group, was formed in 1973 by members of " Le Bourdon " folk club. The three original musicians militate in favour of music and poetry, using language and imagery that are both traditional and personal. Their colourful repertoire is based on songs they have collected or works by the folklorists,

and also (since 1990) on pieces inspired by the polyphonic songs of the popular choirs of the mountain regions (particularly Béarn and the southern Alps), which the group generally performs a cappella (without instrumental accompaniment). They are well-known for their energy and finesse, their freshness and jubilation.
